KATHLEEN BATES

Kathleen Bates is a process design and optimization specialist. She joined EMBLEM Strategies as a Strategic Partner in July 2021, bringing to the firm decades of experience in complex process and project management. Kathleen's expertise includes leading and developing teams of business and IT resources – project managers, business analysts, business process analysts, quality assurance professionals, as well as IT developers and vendors.

 

Kathleen is a leader of cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives including acquisition and divestiture, procurement, software development, IT implementations, and process improvement. She has extensive experience in executing programs with effective planning, governance,

methodologies and workflows, reporting and communications, and project artifacts including documentation that meets required compliance.

 

As a business owner, Kathleen is knowledgeable in vision and strategy development and execution, business plan creation, policy management, records management, accounting practices and principles, and finance cycles and processes. She has served as a business and IT liaison to a diverse cross-section of industries including health care, energy, retail operations, education, construction, and non-profit organizations. This vast experience has given her the skills necessary to design and execute product road-mapping and communication management throughout an organization.

 

Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a number of professional certifications. She is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma’s Class XXVIII and has served as an LOK Ambassador and volunteer. She also devotes her time and energy to a number of other professional and community organizations including the Women’s Executive Board, the Project Management Institute, the Oklahoma Academy, Lyric Theater, Infant Crisis Services, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Edmond Arts and Humanities Council, and the United Methodist Church of the Servant.
