ALLYSON CARSON

Allyson Carson has spent her career forging new paths and serving others—establishing victim services at the state level, leading and engaging members of a statewide nonprofit, starting her own business, and being a zealous volunteer. Connection and engagement are critical to making a transformational impact. Being intentional and developing meaningful relationships is the foundation of everything she does, both professionally and personally. Allyson joined EMBLEM Strategies as a Strategic Partner in December 2020, bringing her unique talents to the firm, as well as the broad network she has built through her years of service in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

As the founder and principal of Roserock Strategies, LLC, she offers advocacy, advice, management & process review, and connecting services across multiple industries and professional platforms. She assists entrepreneurs, communities, nonprofits, and others to overcome challenges—implementing a plan of action, connecting with resources, and finding solutions. Decades in the making, her diverse network–education, small businesses & large corporations, aerospace, the legal community, elected officials, tribal leaders, healthcare, energy & utility sectors, human services, military, finance, all areas of government, and nonprofit sectors–is leveraged to achieve the client's goal. Certified as an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner/coach and Personality Assessment evaluator, she works with clients to improve performance in their personal and professional lives.

 

Before starting her own company, she served as the membership director for Leadership Oklahoma (LOK) for 8 1/2 years. Allyson led the member relations efforts to include strategizing, planning & implementing programs; providing input, strategy, and targeted goals for the overall organizational budget; promoting retention and growth; and creating increased leadership networking opportunities. Prior to joining LOK, she served as the victim services coordinator for over 17 years in the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office, instrumental in multiple statewide programs, including Victim Information & Notification Everyday (VINE) and VINE VPO. Allyson provided emotional support to victims' family members through the appeal process, clemency, and execution. She Coordinating the first Oklahoma Victim Assistance Academy in 2009 and establishing the first multidisciplinary domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking conference for law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges were other significant accomplishments. 

 

Being a zealous volunteer, Allyson has served on numerous committees, task forces, and boards. A few of her current volunteer positions include: 

  • Governor-appointed Member of the Oklahoma Crime Victims Compensation Board [2013 – present; Chairman – 2018 – present]

  • Oklahoma Small Business Development Center Advisory Board Member [2017 – present]

  • Oklahoma Coalition for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Board Member [present]

  • Tinker Air Force Base Honorary Commander Program [2019 – present. Currently working with base leadership to establish an Honorary Commander alumni program.] 

 

Allyson earned a Bachelor of Science in family relations and child development from Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of Leadership Canadian County and Leadership Oklahoma Class XXIII. Awards and honors include a Governor's Commendation for service to victims of crime, Women in Law Enforcement's "Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year", The Journal Record's "40 Under 40", and Oklahoma Magazine's "Achievers Under 40". Allyson resides in Oklahoma with her husband, Steve. They have a blended family with four children, two sons-in-law, and she is Mimi to six grandchildren.
